Selected among 50 other early-stage rising stars across the UK in fierce competition
On 2 December 2020, Tech Nation announced the five North East regional winners of the Rising Stars 3.0 competition. We are delighted to be selected amongst them, after facing tough competition from across the region.
Tech Nation’s Rising Stars 3.0 is the UK’s most exciting national competition for innovative, early-stage tech companies, designed to showcase the best the country has to offer, and to help companies become investor ready. The Rising Stars competition provides the opportunity for early-stage scaleups to meet leading investors, influencers and corporates.
The five regional winners for each region and nation across the UK have been selected by a panel of industry experts and the companies are regarded as tech leaders within their respective regions. Following our recent award for ‘Best Emerging Technology in AI’ in Computing’s AI & Machine Learning Awards 2020, we are pleased our work and cutting-edge solutions have already been recognised by Tech Nation.
The competition culminates in the top 20 companies being showcased online and promoted to a curated audience of investors, corporates, influencers and the wider tech ecosystem. The judging panel will then deliberate over the final 20, selecting 10 companies to be named as this year’s Rising Stars. The 10 Rising Stars UK Winners will be revealed in February 2021.
Over 330 applications were submitted, which demonstrates the vitality, resilience and scale of the UK startup scene in 2020. Despite the current challenges, entrepreneurs are founding and launching companies, and investment is still being raised. Being a Tech Nation Rising Star company will give us the ability to extend our network throughout the UK startup and investor community even more, which could support future growth goals.
